REGENERATIVE AGRICULTURE

The 2023 Community Empowerment Program in Tumaluntung Village, Kauditan District, and Airmadidi Bawah Subdistrict, Airmadidi District, North Minahasa, was designed to strengthen community knowledge, skills, and participation in regenerative agriculture and sustainable livelihood development. The program introduced environmentally friendly farming practices aimed at improving soil health, increasing agricultural productivity, and promoting the sustainable use of local natural resources. Through practical training and community participation, local farmers were encouraged to adopt agricultural methods that support long-term productivity while reducing negative impacts on the environment. In addition to agriculture, the program supported the development of cottage industries and household-based enterprises as alternative sources of income. By utilizing local resources, strengthening production skills, and encouraging small-scale entrepreneurship, the initiative aimed to diversify household incomes and improve the economic resilience of participating communities.

Status: Ongoing, since 2022

OUR GOALS

The program's overarching goal is to enhance community welfare in Tumaluntung Village and Airmadidi Bawah Subdistrict. This will be achieved through the development of agricultural businesses that adopt regenerative farming methods and the promotion of home industry products that prioritize environmental conservation.

Final Objective

Our ultimate aim is to implement a Community Empowerment program that raises awareness about the importance of sustainable natural resource conservation. The program encourages the community to create new income sources through sustainable agricultural practices and the development of home industry products. By focusing on both environmental preservation and economic growth, this initiative seeks to provide long-term benefits to the community.
